A New Mindset - Finding The Courage To Change
This morning I listened to a co-worker from another department ranting about a television show she had watched a while ago. The show, according to the worker, was degrading to women. She referred to violence against the female characters, sex scenes, and an overall attitude that showed no respect.
I looked up the show online to see how it was described. The network calls it a “Part coming of age story, part small town drama, and part murder mystery that exposes the physical and psychological extremes that some young women are willing to endure to get ahead”.
Blending Households
With the cost of living on, what feels like, a continuous rise and wages for most people falling far short of the ‘living range’, many families are choosing to find larger homes and blend generations under one roof. This can lead to quite the adjustment period, especially if some of the residents have been living on their own or in other housing arrangements.
Raising An Authentic Child
What does it mean to be authentic? Dictionary.com defines authentic as:
1. Genuine or Real
2. An origin supported by unquestionable evidence
3. Representing one’s true nature or beliefs; True to oneself
4. Entitled to acceptance or belief; Reliable; Trustworthy

Let’s begin by addressing the three types of sweeteners made from corn, and the processing each one goes through.
The Science Behind
The School Lunch and Test Score Connection
Abstract
In the writing of this essay, several studies were reviewed to obtain the groundwork, including studies that clearly showed a direct correlation between food quality and learning. Of all the studies identified through the use of the LIRN and Google Scholar databases, none were found that presented information clearly opposing the topic. As a result of the research, a hypothesis was formed showing improved nutrition in school food programs would create an overall increase in standardized test scores by improving the internal learning environment.
